At a glance
The website now provides a customer sign-in and password-reset service for accounts created after a purchase. It has no public account registration, checkout, newsletter, advertising pixel or product analytics.
The app is designed to keep settings and optional retained notification data on the Windows PC. It does not use product telemetry.
Website data
When you visit this site, the hosting provider may process technical connection data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request to deliver and protect the site. Customer accounts store an email address, a one-way password hash, account-security records, licence status and linked-device information. Essential security cookies keep an authenticated account session open; this website does not set non-essential cookies.
App data kept locally
The app stores its settings in the current Windows user’s local app storage. This can include display-background choices, saved scenes, taskbar and Action Center preferences, organiser preferences, and calendar-source settings.
If Notification History is enabled, retained notifications are encrypted for the current Windows user. You can choose a retention period and clear the retained copy from the app.
Calendar connections
Calendar features use only the source you add, such as a local .ics file, a private HTTPS iCalendar subscription, Windows calendars or a Google Calendar account. Calendar addresses, account connections and synchronization cursors are protected for the current Windows user. A remote source is contacted only when you connect it or when the app performs a refresh you requested or scheduled.
Google Calendar data
If you choose Connect Google Calendar, the app opens Google sign-in in your system browser and requests only the read-only calendar.calendarlist.readonly permission to list calendars and calendar.events.readonly permission to read events from calendars you select. It cannot create, edit, delete, accept or decline Google Calendar events.
The app requests only the fields needed for calendar selection and the local agenda: calendar identifiers, names, colours and primary-calendar status; and, for selected calendars, event identifiers, cancellation status, titles, start and end times, all-day status, colours and safe Google event links. It does not request event descriptions, attendees, organisers, contacts, Gmail or Drive data.
The Google refresh token, selected calendar identifiers and synchronization cursors are protected for the current Windows user. A bounded agenda containing the fields above is stored locally so the sidebar can work without contacting Google. Google Calendar data travels directly between this Windows device and Google; it is not copied to a Win11 Desktop Customizer developer server and is not used for advertising, profiling, resale or AI training.
You can change the selected calendars or disconnect at any time. Disconnecting deletes the protected Google connection and synchronization state from this Windows account. Agenda entries from that source are removed when the local agenda cache is next rebuilt; choose Refresh now after disconnecting to rebuild it immediately.
Future retail account and payment service
Checkout and direct download are not active yet. When the full edition launches, a completed Lemon Squeezy purchase will create or link the customer account using the purchase email. Lemon Squeezy will process payment; this portal will limit itself to licence status and linked-device management. This policy will be updated before checkout is available with the final payment and entitlement details.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated before a Store Demo or full-edition release if the data practices change. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@win11desktopcustomizer.com.
